Onyx Health and Fitness
Onyx Health and Fitness began in a few local village halls as general aerobics classes. Over the past 3 decades, it has developed into a variety of different exercise classes from pilates to falls prevention for the elderly. I believe that exercise should be available to people from all backgrounds and abilities, and through continuing my own education, I thrive to educate others and make them aware of their own issues and how to fix them through exercise. Thinking outside the box, and regularly updating routines, is what I believe sets my classes aside from others, as well as building a close and supportive community between the members of Onyx Health and Fitness.


Alison Lacey
I began my career in the fitness industry in 1992. Throughout the 90's, I taught aerobics, body conditioning and steps, and later qualified in more specialised areas, including teaching 'Fit for Life' for older adults, cardiac rehab and falls prevention. At the start of the millennium, I trained with Body Control to become a pilates instructor, which quickly became my real passion. More recently, as well as working towards achieving my biomechanics coach diploma, I have studied to gain a '3rd Age Woman Peri-Post Menopause' certification.
